USFS and DOI warn about drones on fires

Today the U.S. Forest Service and the Department of the Interior issued an Interagency Aviation Safety Alert about the hazards of unmanned aerial vehicles operating near wildfires.

  1. In other news in the last day or so……

    FAA says no UAV’s within 5 miles of airports…..read it , it is out there……

    So I would.imagine the USFS and USDOI are reinforcing it in their arena….

    Now on to our regularly scheduled programs…

    IF we are talking same thing about UAV around airports….

    Both the FAA and UAV operators have ALOT of homework to do…

    All the folks who think UAV use is cheaper….have not met the insurance companies yet…..when things go awry…
