On Saturday I found myself at the Boise Airport and grabbed some photos of some of the aircraft.

Back in February we wrote about the BLM awarding the first contract in the United States to Dynamic Aviation for a jet-powered lead plane. It was parked at Boise on Saturday. In May Aviation Week had an interesting article about the history of Dynamic Aviation.

  1. I worked with the Citation a couple of weeks ago on a fire in southern Oregon. The fire was inside a bowl, with continuous turns required, rock on all sides. The drops were into a steep area. The Citation came on scene, did an excellent job, and got high marks from others on the fire. I was surprised how well it fit into the mix, especially with SEATs there; the Citation was able to slow enough to work with the SEATs as well as other aircraft coming on scene. The smoker worked great. Much better than I’d have thought.
