An interesting photo of a DC-7 over the King Fire 11 miles east of Placerville, California. More information about the fire is at Wildfire Today.
Nobody ever knows who the copilot is. Hehe.
Those Butler (Erickson Aero) pilots and DC-7 planes are in a league of their own. They consistently exhibit better drop accuracy than any other operators.
Rodger that, but I’m a bit prejudiced..
That would be Capt. Phillip Darnell. Don’t know who his Copilot is.
Could be that they been doing this for a Llloooooong time
Neat picture! DC-7B T60.No one from Cal fire onboard unless they stowed away.
That is Tanker 60 (T-60) from Erickson AeroTanker. .
I rather doubt that’s a CalFire pilot.
