These pictures are interesting, taken during the early stages of the Shedd Fire today in San Luis Obispo County west of Bakersfield, California. CAL FIRE was attempting to slow it down with air tanker drops.

At about 5:05 p.m. PDT it was about 100 acres.

Odd is the wind direction for this time of day. Must be left over from the front that has been hanging around this past week. Tankers should have had a quick turn around out of Paso Robles.
