  1. Supertankers are the wave of the future for first (scramble)…and ‘preemptive’…strike plans. The Ten-Tankers and 747 SuperTankers can also support ‘ground-troops’ with Airborne ‘smoke jumpers’ who have drilled as combined-force warriors in ‘controlled burn’ drill scenarios as well as off-shore abroad theaters. This should be SOP in the “War on Fire” as it is in our GWOT. Hoorah for Rick Hatton and Bob Soelberg! Jerry Brown & Cal Fire have the ‘fire tax’ money, team! I’ve watched 1996 ‘controlled burns’ go “un-controlled” as well as the 2006 Day Fire in The Sespe and Lockwood Valley as Bob McAndrew & Evergreen’s 747 struggled for STC as the sole 10-Tanker lumbered out of Mojave too late. Rains finally stopped both fires.

Thanks for stopping to take the sunset picture. The Super Puma, interesting, the replacement test program for Cal Fire to evidentially replace the Huey fleet? Just paid the California (Brown) fire tax. This is a huge pot of money sitting there auguring interest that hasn’t been used for its intent. Good start on one of your pictures. A Cal Fire pick-up with two rental cars.

    Semper Fi!
