CASS: Crews are Maffs trained. No Initial Attack Captain meaning they always need a Leadplane.
The recent appearance of DRS and CASS in this industry is still a mystery.
Great to see a “civilian” C-130 back in Fresno. TBM’s Tanker 64(C-130, RADS Tank) was based there for years until 2001. Then all contracted Hercs were grounded after T-130 crash. What a shame. The 3 TBM Hercs (63, 64, 67) had modified wings and should not have never been grounded. Times changed; Now the USFS has contracts with Coulson and has a fleet of their own C-130’s. Eventually all these Hercs will have a RADS Tank which is a fantastic combination.
Who is furnishing the flight crew and ground support for 116?
Maintenance: DRS Technical Services.
Flight crews: CASS Professional Services
