Jim Watson of GB Aerial shot this video of a retardant drop from a single engine air tanker as it dropped on the North 207 fire in the Texas panhandle between Borger and Pampa on December 16, 2021.

The fire burned 23,810 acres, most of it on December 15, 2021.

  1. I would suspect the pilot is a crop duster pilot in the off fire season, probably bored.
    Or this is Texas “guard” frequency. Very nice touch for Christmas. Hope they got the fire out.

  2. I hope that music was an overlay post flight – distractions like that have no place in this industry during operations.
